I still can’t resist the field. That, combined with these darling kiddos, who clearly adore one another, made for a perfect *early* evening.
I love how in the midst of our cold greyness that seems to prevail at this time of year, we are gifted with some beautiful sunshine. I think it shows here in the winter light and shines through the sweetest of expressions.

Big brother’s caption for this little series that inspired the post title?
”Best Friends Forever”
I think there is a goodly amount of truth to that statement. Thanks for the warm evening, kids.

Soak in for a moment what this mama wrote about her “wishes” for our portrait session and her two young daughters, who will experience these images as they grow from little girls into young women:
“I hope they will see how beautiful and wonderful they are and remember their time as carefree . . . one where we nurtured their sense of possibility”

I don’t know about you, but I see definite possibility. And personality. And beauty. And sheer JOY.
Oh . . . and lots and lots of happy silliness and giggles.

I spent a morning last week with this family of three . . . so fun and loving and relaxed. I’ve had the opportunity to photograph them four times now, so I feel like we not only “get” each other, but really know each other as well.
Blue eyes, case in point. . .

And love these . . .

This is not a family portrait session. It was just a special family. Hanging out in an orchard. Loving on each other.

I just happened to be there.

I spent some time last Thursday with this family of three . . . can you feel the love?

P.S. More family sneak peeks to come this week, I promise! (To the two, specifically, I know who are waiting!)
Oh, that beautiful, beautiful light! And what a heartwarming sentiment from the brother. Just wonderful!
