Happy 8th Grade promotion to one of my favorite soon to be 9th graders! This was our third session together, and I absolutely love it when I can see evidence of the growth and change of a child (or in this case, a young woman) in the portraits we’ve taken. I say “we” because it really is a cooperative effort between subject and photographer . . .

These portraits are on my site and have been blogged before, but just to show a year’s worth of growing up . . . July 2007:

And February 2008, with her horse, taken at Brawley Farms, in Jefferson:

(And could her hair be any cuter? Nicole and Stacy at Salon 124 in Keizer, get all the credit for her darling cut/style and tastefully applied make-up in the 8th grade graduation photos.)
