I live for images like this one . . .

It is the quintessential Daveen Photography portrait. The somber stare, a classic look, a story behind the image that mom and dad will remember (can you tell what little A is doing with his hands? Why, he’s playing piano, of course!). I get all giddy (as mom will attest because I showed her immediately with a squeal in my voice) when I know I’ve captured “it” . . . a timeless image that is entirely worthy to be displayed throughout the ages – or at the very least for an extremely long time. The essence of a child at a moment in time. Sigh. “It”.
But, lest you think here at Daveen Photography it is all about solemn stares, I will post this silly, happy shot just to prove you wrong:

And, not to be left out, little brother, here, was wowing me with his sweet little eyes and Kewpie Doll looks . . . Honestly, could he get any cuter? ”It” again – minus the solemn stare and plus a little toothy smile. The rules of “it” are relative and can change on a whim (my whim).

He had *just* started toddling last week, so he had ALOT of things to do. Places to go. People to see. Far, far away from the lady with the camera . . .

Summer is a beautiful time for portraits!
