I was so excited this last May when the thoughtful daddy of these two amazingly precious little girls called to arrange a special gift for his wife (aka “mommy”) for Mother’s Day. I had photographed them the before when baby sister, now two, was born and was thrilled to be able to return last week.
That perfect summer feeling was certainly there . . . the warm sun was shining, a slight breeze was blowing, lavender was blooming and two little girls were giggling.
And I think that mommy and I should win some random award just for our effort on this one below. Our self-imposed “assignment”? To corral a sleepy two year old into grandpa’s chair and try to coax out a sweet expression for one last portrait. It took some pure luck and little baby voices on our part, but the effort certainly paid off . . .
