Again.

I had a session on Monday morning with one of my most recognizable (and sweetest) little clients. Look at those precious little tootsies. Sigh.

We used the same chair that we used over 18 months ago for her one year sesssion in a few. (Can you find it on my site?)

and her “puppy”, Zoey (okay, I’m obviously using the term very loosely):

At the Vineyard

My family spent the afternoon at Willamette Valley Vineyards for the Oregon Grape Stomp. It was our third year to go with a group of friends and it is always so much fun! This year, one of my very special friends (you might recognize her from an image or two on my site) and her mommy (another one of my special friends) participated in the Grape Stomp itself. And, alas, although they didn’t win the Napa Valley trip with their total of 2.5 pounds, they both thoroughly enjoyed themselves and created life-long memories.

Mommy has a “famous” Christmas card that she sends out every year, so I’m praying, crossing my fingers *hoping* that one of these will be included on the card. My hubby and I have only made it two or three times in the almost 14 years we’ve known my friend and her husband, so actually taking one of the images that go in it would be quite the coup. :)

And being taped by the Statesman Journal:

It’s All About the Details (Daveen Photography)

Detail images from an August session for a display at Salon 124 in Keizer, my partner salon.

These images, in all their randomness, will not be displayed, but I love them anyway and think they illustrate how important details really are. When details are attended to (hair, make-up, nails, EYELASHES) are taken care of, even the most random image can be beautiful.

Nicole is one of the owners and *my* stylist at Salon 124. (Okay, okay . . . mine and many other stylish girls about town who love her as much as I do . . . I’ll try not to get too possessive.) She has held me steady during my awkward short to mid-length hair and resisted my fervent pleas to “just cut it off, I can’t stand it anymore” more times than I can tell you. In fact, Nicole is a girl after my own heart, because before she styled the hair for this session, she told me she’d been up in the middle of the night thinking about what she was going to do. Um. Me, too. The co-owner, Hope, is so amazingly talented as well. And I can’t say enough about the rest of the girls, either. They are all so great. I love it there. I’m pretty sure they like me, too, even though I’m running behind on getting these images ready. (If I say it on the blog, they can’t get mad!) :)

* Side Note: how fun are those fake eyelashes?

Back at the Orchard (Salem Senior Photography)

That’s it. I *knew* I would do this. Knew it. I am always just as anxious as my clients are to peek at the images from our session - especially when it was as fun as this one! So who am I kidding when I tell them it may be a couple of days before I get them up?

So, because I have no self-control whatsoever when it comes to time management, here are some images fresh from this morning’s Senior Portrait Session (go McNary Class of ‘09!) . . . they are just about as fresh as the apple orchard (complete with blue barn) we shot at.

Enjoy your day!

More For the Two of Them

Last week’s fun high school Senior (go West High School Class of ‘09!) invited her beau (go South High School Class of ‘09!) to come along to “help” out and get a couple images together . . . and honestly, how could I not indulge them? Not only were they both darling, but they were great kids as well, which, I think every mother will agree, is infinitely more important!
